Appeal for witnesses after teenage girl assaulted in Poole

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after a teenage girl was assaulted on a beach in Poole.

At around 8pm on Friday 4 April 2025, it is reported that a teenage girl was assaulted by another female teenager – who was known to her – on Sandbanks beach.

It is reported that the victim was pinned to the ground and assaulted, before she managed to get away.

She has since received medical treatment for her injuries.

Police Constable Sarah Fuller, of Poole police, said: “This incident occurred at a time when there would have been many people in the area enjoying the weather.

“I would ask anyone who saw what happened – and has not already spoken to police – to please come forward.

“We are carrying out a full investigation into this incident and are also keen to speak to anyone who may have captured any relevant footage to assist our enquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250047942. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
