Update – five charged in connection with reported discovery of suspected cannabis factory in Wareham
Five men have been charged and have appeared in court in connection with the reported discovery of a suspected cannabis factory in Wareham.
Officers from Dorset Police executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at premises in Westminster Road on the morning of Wednesday 1 February 2023.
It was reported that searches uncovered a large-scale operation cultivating what was believed to be cannabis plants.
Five men – aged 24, 25, 32, 33 and 51 – were arrested and subsequently charged with conspiring to produce a class B drug. They appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 4 February 2023 and are next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday 9 March 2023.
