Appeal for information following fatal collision in Bournemouth
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward after a woman sadly died following a road traffic collision in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police was called at 12.58pm on Sunday 26 February 2023 to a collision near to the junction of Haviland Road and Ashley Road in Boscombe involving a Yamaha motorcycle and a pedestrian.
Officers attended, along with the ambulance service and the pedestrian, a Bournemouth woman aged in her 80s, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were initially not thought to be life-threatening. Very sadly, her condition deteriorated and she died in hospital on Tuesday 28 March 2023. Her family has been informed.
Police Constable Tracey Downer, of the traffic unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who has sadly died following this collision.
“We will continue to carry out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of what happened, and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything relevant on dashcam footage.”
