Appeal for witnesses following reported burglary and dangerous driving
Officers investigating reports that a car was stolen from a home in Bournemouth and was seen driving dangerously in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
It was reported that a blue Renault Arkana was stolen from the driveway of a property in Boveridge Gardens in Bournemouth some time after 9pm on Monday 25 July 2022.
From 7.23am on Tuesday 26 July 2022 Dorset Police received a number of reports of the vehicle being driven in an erratic manner at various locations in Poole, including Uppleby Road, Magna Road, Gravel Hill, Ringwood Road and Herbert Avenue. The vehicle was subsequently located on Evering Avenue, with the three occupants reportedly having left the scene.
Following enquiries and searches, three boys – aged 12, 14 and 16 – from Poole were arrested on suspicion of driving offences and theft of a motor vehicle.
Sergeant Sarah Jones, of the traffic unit, said: “We are continuing to investigate these matters and I am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.
“I would also ask anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage to please contact us.”
