Witness and dashcam appeal following fail-to-stop collision in Dorchester

Officers investigating a fail-to-stop collision in Dorchester are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

At around 8.30pm on Saturday 7 March 2026 a collision occurred involving a car and a grey Yamaha motorbike on the A37 Long Ash Lane.

It is reported that the driver of the car left the scene.

The motorbike rider – a man aged in his 20s – sustained a minor leg injury.

Police Constable Christina Macken, of Dorchester police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this collision and I am really keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened.

“Also, I would like to hear from any motorists who were travelling in the area on the evening of Saturday 7 March 2026  and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
