Update – five charged in connection with reported assault in Bournemouth

Five people have been charged and are due to appear in court in connection with an alleged assault in Bournemouth town centre.

It was reported that at around 3am on Wednesday 22 September 2021 a man aged in his 30s was assaulted outside the London Market convenience store on Old Christchurch Road.

He sustained broken teeth, a broken eye socket and a broken jaw.

Following enquiries by officers, five people from Bournemouth were arrested in connection with the incident. A 17-year-old boy, a 17-year-old girl, two 18 year-old men and a 20-year-old man have all been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and are next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Monday 21 March 2022.
