Public appeal following racially aggravated public order incident in Wimborne

Officers investigating a racially aggravated public order incident on a bus in Wimborne are appealing to witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 10.30pm on Tuesday 24 March 2026 a man was racially abusive towards another passenger travelling on the number 13 Morebus shortly after it departed Wimborne Square.

Police Constable Kayleigh Barguss, of Dorset Police, said: “We take all reports of hate crime very seriously and have been exploring all lines of enquiry in relation to this incident.

“I am keen to speak to any passengers who were travelling on the bus and witnessed the incident or anyone with information that might assist our enquiries.”
