Information appeal and advice issued following garage burglaries in North Dorset

Officers are appealing for information and issuing advice after three garage burglaries in a rural area of North Dorset.

The three incidents occurred between Thursday 4 September and Sunday 7 September 2025 in Fontmell Magna and Ashmore.

Power tools and hand tools were stolen.

Police Constable Matt Saunders, of the local neighbourhood policing team, said: “We would like to reassure the community that an investigation is underway into these reported burglaries.

“As part of our enquiries, I am asking anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the areas over recent days to please get in touch.

“If you think your garage was broken into and you have not spoken to police, please get in touch. If a crime is in progress, always dial 999.”
