Witness appeal following serious injury collision in Verwood

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a serious injury collision in Verwood.

At around 5.40pm on Tuesday 23 December 2025, a collision occurred involving a black Mini Cooper, a black Vauxhall Corsa and a BMW X3 on Ringwood Road near to the junction with St Stephen’s Lane.

The driver of the Mini – a local man aged in his 70s – was arrested on suspicion of a driving offence and subsequently taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

The female driver of the Vauxhall, aged in her 50s, sustained minor injuries.

The driver of the BMW was uninjured.

Police Sergeant Paul Hind, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances of the collision.

“I would urge anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage, to please come forward.”
