Appeal for information following robbery in Bournemouth

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a report of a robbery in Bournemouth.

It was reported that the victim, a man aged in his 20s, had previously spoken to another man about buying a watch from them and they had arranged to meet at the duck pond at Horseshoe Common at 11.45am on Sunday 28 December 2025.

As they were discussing the purchase, two other men approached him from behind and restrained him. One of the men pulled out a knife and they took the watch from the victim’s wrist.

The victim did not sustain any injuries.

Police Constable Sorrel Gilbert, of BCP CID, said: “We are carrying out a full investigation into this matter and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with information that might assist our enquiries, to please make contact with us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55260000618. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online using its website or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
