Appeal for information following assault in Bournemouth

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following an assault in Bournemouth.

At around 10.10pm on Tuesday 12 August 2025 it is reported a man had been assaulted by four unknown men in the area of Gervis Road.

Officers were on patrol nearby and swiftly attended, but the four men had dispersed.

The victim was taken to hospital with a facial injury that was not believed to be serious.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and no arrests have been made.

Police Constable Michael Wells, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident to understand the full circumstances of what occurred.

“We know there were a number of people in the area that night who may have seen what happened, and so we would like to hear from any witnesses who have not yet spoken to us.

“We are particularly keen to hear from a teenage girl we understand had an interaction with the victim prior to the assault.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250119577. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
