Update following serious collision in Bournemouth
A pedestrian who was injured in a serious collision in Bournemouth has very sadly died.
At around 5.30pm on Tuesday 11 August 2026 a collision occurred in Belle Vue Road involving a silver Honda Jazz and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian – a man aged in his 80s – was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Very sadly, he later died in hospital on Monday 24 August 2026. His family are aware.
Police Sergeant Mike Burt, of the Serious Collision Investigation Team, said: “First and foremost, our thoughts are with the loved ones of the man who sadly died following this collision.
“We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of what happened and would ask anyone who may have information or footage to help our enquiries to please get in touch if you have not already spoken to officers.”
