Witness appeal following theft of jewellery in Bridport

Officers are appealing for information as they investigate the theft of high value jewellery from a market stall in Bridport.

A cabinet containing a number of items of jewellery was stolen from a stall in Bridport Market at around 2.35pm on Saturday 13 May 2023.

The stolen items include a vintage Eterna nine carat gold watch, a nine carat omega bracelet with ‘1963’ etched on the back and a Berry’s platinum claw set emerald cut diamond line bracelet.

Police Community Support Investigator Matthew Cast, of Dorset Police, said: “We are conducting enquiries into this theft, and I am keen to speak to anyone with information that might assist our enquiries.

“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who has come across jewellery items matching those described above being offered for sale locally or online in unusual circumstances.”
