Assault, Poole, 4 August 2025.jpg

Officers are issuing an image of a man they would like to identify following an assault in Poole.

Dorset Police received a report that at around 6.30pm on Sunday 27 July 2025 the victim – a man aged in his 40s from Bournemouth – was walking in the areas of Whitecliff and Baiter Park when he was confronted by a man he did not know.

It is reported that when the man tried to engage with the victim and this was not reciprocated, he became aggravated, and an altercation ensued in which the victim was punched in the face three times.

The man then left the area in the direction of Sherwood Avenue.

Police Constable Niki Edwards, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident, and we are now able to issue an image of a man we would like to identify.

“I urge anyone with knowledge of who he is to please get in touch with us.”
