Appeal for information following commercial burglary near Shaftesbury

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a commercial burglary near Shaftesbury.

It was reported that at around 3.30am on Tuesday 18 November 2025 three man gained access to Melbury Workshops at Cann Common and made off with two items of diagnostic machinery, worth several thousand pounds each.

The men are believed to have left the scene in a white Audi A3.

Police Constable Samuel Berry, of North Dorset police, said: “We are exploring a number of lines of enquiry to identify those involved in this burglary and I am keen to hear from witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our investigation.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area during the early hours of Tuesday 18 November 2025 to please contact us.

“I would also urge anyone who was driving in the vicinity around the relevant time to please check any dashcam footage to see if they have captured a vehicle matching the description given.”
