Witness appeal after man found injured in Bournemouth

Officers investigating an incident where a man was found injured in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 8.35am on Thursday 28 September 2023 Dorset Police received a report that a man had been found with lacerations to his arm and leg in Charminster Road.

Officers attended and the man, aged in his 30s, was located near to the junction with Claremount Road. He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which were not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.

Police Constable Lauren Hobkirk, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are conducting further enquiries into this matter as we seek to establish the full details of what happened. At this time, it is unclear how the man sustained his injuries and exactly where the incident happened.

“I understand there were several members of the public in this area at this time in the morning and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our investigation to please get in touch.

“I would also urge anyone who was driving in the area of Charminster Road, Claremount Road and Malvern Road around the relevant time to please check any dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything of relevance. I would make a similar plea to residents in that vicinity with home CCTV or doorbell cameras to review their footage for anything that may assist our enquiries.”
