Update – appeal following alleged assault in Bournemouth
A person has been identified following an image appeal in relation to an alleged assault in Bournemouth.
At around 6.30pm on Sunday 18 August the victim, a woman aged in her 20s, was running along a footpath from Riverside Lane to the River Stour when she noticed a group of four young people, two males and two females.
As she ran past them they were verbally abusive. The victim ignored them but when she ran back past a short time later the group chased her and it is reported that one of the female members of the group spat at her before punching her on the arm, causing bruising.
Following an image appeal, a teenage girl has been identified and will be assisting officers with their enquiries. No arrests have been made.
