Witness appeal following alleged assault in Poole
Officers investigating an alleged assault at a petrol station in Poole are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
It is reported that at around 11.30am on Friday 5 May 2023 an altercation occurred involving two men at Creekmoor Service Station in Safety Drive. It is alleged that one of the men was in possession of a knife.
During the incident, one of the men – a man aged in his 40s – sustained a minor injury to his finger.
It is also reported that damage was caused to the tyre of the victim’s vehicle.
Officers attended and a 26-year-old man from Poole was arrested on suspicion of assault, possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place and criminal damage. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Police Constable Ryan Jackson, of Poole police, said: “This is a busy petrol station and I understand there were a number of people in the area at the time.
“I would ask anyone who saw what happened to please contact Dorset Police.
“Also, if you were on the forecourt and captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage, I am appealing to you to please get in touch.”
