Renewed appeal in search for missing Portland man

Officers are issuing a new image of a missing Portland man as they continue their searches for him.

Gary, aged 59, was last seen in the area of Park Estate Road at around 1.30pm on Thursday 23 April 2026.

It is believed he left the area on his bike.

Gary is described as around five feet ten inches tall and of stocky build, with short grey hair and tattoos on his arms.

He was last seen wearing a black vest, black shorts, black Skechers boots, a cycling helmet and a chain around his neck.

Chief Inspector Barry Gosling, of Dorset Police, said: “Our enquiries to locate Gary remain ongoing and I would ask anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to please make contact with us.

“We would ask Portland residents to please check any CCTV or doorbell cameras for anyone matching Gary’s description in the area around the time he was last seen.

“I am also appealing directly to Gary, if you see this please make contact with us and let us know where you are as we just want to make sure you are OK.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Gary’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 999, quoting occurrence number 55260058364.
