Appeal for information following reports of outraging public decency in Purbeck
Officers investigating reports of outraging public decency in Purbeck are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Dorset Police received a report at around 8.35pm on Wednesday 15 July 2026 of a man acting suspiciously in the naturist section of Studland Beach and apparently performing an indecent act.
The man is described as aged between 50 to 60, white with patches on his skin, possibly vitiligo or similar skin condition, around five feet ten inches tall with a large belly and wearing a cap.
A similar incident was reported involving a man of a matching description on the afternoon of Tuesday 5 May 2026.
Police Constable Luke Taylor, of the Purbeck Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We are continuing to investigate these incidents and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information regarding the identity of the man involved to please contact us.
“I would also urge anyone who witnesses any suspicious activity in the area to please report it to us.”
