Fail-to-stop collision in Poole – witness and dashcam appeal

Officers investigating a fail-to-stop collision in Poole are asking witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

At approximately 3.15pm on Monday 22 May 2023, a collision occurred involving a pedestrian and a silver Toyota Yaris at the zebra crossing near to Aldi on Pitwines Close.

It is reported that the Toyota driver failed to stop at the scene.

The pedestrian – a man aged in his 40s – sustained injuries to his leg that required hospital treatment.

Police Constable Joseph McKee, of Poole police, said: “I am carrying out enquiries to locate the vehicle involved and would ask anyone with information to help my investigation to please come forward.

“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed what happened.

“Also, if you were driving in the vicinity and have a dashcam fitted to your vehicle, I would ask you to please check for any relevant footage.”
