Witness appeal following assault in Bournemouth

Detectives investigating an assault in Bournemouth town centre are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 7.45pm on Friday 20 February 2026 a food delivery rider was cycling through the Central Gardens when he came across a group of teenagers near to the tennis courts.

He was assaulted and had his bike stolen by the group.

The victim, aged in his 40s, sustained a fracture to his hand as a result of the assault.

Detective Staff Investigator Katy Miles, of BCP CID, said: “We are carrying out a full investigation into this incident and I would urge any witnesses to please make contact with us.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone with relevant footage or who has information regarding those involved in this incident.”
