Image appeal following reported assault in Bournemouth
Officers are issuing images of a man they are looking to identify following an incident where a teenager was reportedly assaulted in Bournemouth town centre.
Dorset Police received a report at around 2.35am on Thursday 14 November 2024 that a 17-year-old girl had been assaulted by a man who was known to her in the area of Exeter Crescent.
Following enquiries, a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and he was released on police bail.
Further enquiries were carried out and it was reported that the teenager was also assaulted by another man at around 2am at the junction of Old Christchurch Road and Post Office Road.
The victim did not require immediate medical treatment.
Police Constable Selina Swan, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this matter and we have obtained images of a man we are still looking to identify as part of our enquiries.
“I would urge anyone with information regarding his identity to please contact us.
“We also believe there may have been other members of the public present in the area around the time of this incident and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please make contact with us.”
