Appeal for information following criminal damage in Bournemouth

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward as they investigate a report of criminal damage to a vehicle in Bournemouth.

At around 12am on Wednesday 27 March 2024 a red Hyundai was damaged outside a property in Surrey Road. It is reported that the offender smashed the window and then searched the vehicle before he fled the scene in the direction of Bournemouth Gardens when confronted. No items were reported as missing from the vehicle.

The man is described as aged in his 40s, of medium-build, five feet nine inches tall and was wearing a blue baseball cap, blue coat with a white fur hood and grey chinos.

Police Constable Zeke Gura-Lowe, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are conducting enquiries into this incident and I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of Surrey Road in the early hours of Wednesday 27 March 2024.

“I would also urge residents and motorists in the area to check any available home CCTV systems or dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything that might assist our enquiries.”
