Witness and dashcam appeal following serious injury collision in Hurn
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam to come forward following a serious injury road traffic collision in Hurn.
Dorset Police received a report at 8.04am on Tuesday 27 January 2026 of a collision on Matchams Lane involving a white Ford Transit van and a Nissan NV200.
Emergency services attended and a man aged in his 20s was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are believed to be serious but not life-threatening.
Road closures were put in place to allow the emergency services to respond and for an examination of the collision scene to be conducted.
Police Constable Calum Maton, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out further enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.
“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage.
“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures, which were put in place to enable the emergency services to respond and for an examination of the scene to be carried out.”
