Appeal for dashcam footage after vehicle reportedly failed to stop in Bournemouth
Officers are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward after a vehicle reportedly failed to stop in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police received a report at 9.30pm on Friday 23 May 2025 relating to a suspected stolen vehicle in Boscombe.
It was further alleged that the vehicle – a grey Renault E-Tech – had failed to stop for officers in the area of Richmond Hill.
The vehicle was then subsequently reported to be involved in a collision with two other vehicles on the A31 near the Ashley Heath Roundabout.
Officers attended and the two occupants of the suspected stolen vehicle were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-changing or life-threatening. The occupants of the other vehicles did not sustain any serious injuries.
It was further reported that during a search of the suspected stolen vehicle a quantity of illegal drugs were recovered.
Two men, aged 19 and 22 and from Bournemouth, were arrested in connection with the incident. They have both been released on police bail as further enquiries are carried out.
Police Sergeant Chris Brolan, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “As part of our enquiries, I am keen to hear from anyone who was driving on the A338 or A31 around the relevant time and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.
