CCTV appeal following reported assault in Wareham

Officers are issuing CCTV images of a man they would like to identify following a reported assault in Wareham.

At around 10.25pm on Saturday 11 January 2025 a man was reportedly assaulted by an unknown man in Wareham Pizza and Kebab off South Street.

It was reported that the victim was punched and elbowed in the head, causing him to fall backwards and hit his head.

The unknown man reportedly continued to punch and kick the victim while he was on the floor.

Police Constable Paul Humber, of Dorset Police, said: “This was a nasty incident which we are continuing to investigate and I am appealing to any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please get in touch with us.

“I have now obtained CCTV images of a man I would like to identify and I would ask anyone with information regarding his identity to please come forward.”
