Officers are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage to come forward after an alleged stolen car was driven through Bournemouth and Poole and failed to stop for officers.

At around 1.20pm on Thursday 6 April 2023 it is reported a grey Hyundai ix20 was stolen from outside an address in Long Road in Bournemouth. At around 7.25pm that day officers spotted the vehicle being driven along Waterloo Road in Poole and requested for the driver to stop.

Three males aged 15, 17 and 18 and a 17-year-old girl were detained at the scene and will be attending a police station to be interviewed. Enquiries to locate the fifth person are underway.

Police Constable Elizabeth Johnson-Byrnes, of Poole police, said: “An investigation into this incident remains ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the manner of driving of the vehicle or caught any of the incident on dashcam to please get in touch with us.”
