Witness and dashcam appeal following serious injury collision in Bournemouth

Officers investigating a serious injury road traffic collision in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.

At around 9.35am on Saturday 24 January 2026 a collision occurred in Austin Close involving a brown Honda Jazz and a male pedestrian.

The man, aged in his 50s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is believed to be life-threatening.

Police Constable Dan Yates, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out a full investigation into the circumstances of this collision and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage.”
