Witness and dashcam appeal following fatal collision in Poole
Officers are appealing for witnesses or any motorists with relevant dashcam footage to come forward following a fatal collision in Poole.
Dorset Police received a report at 5pm on Friday 28 November 2025 of a two-vehicle collision involving a DAF truck and a silver motorcycle at the Safety Drive roundabout.
Emergency services attended and, despite the best efforts of emergency services, the rider of the motorcycle, a 17-year-old boy from North Dorset, sadly died at the scene. The truck driver was uninjured. The boy’s family has been told and HM Coroner notified.
Road closures remain in place to allow collision investigators to examine the scene.
Police Sergeant Richard Stroud, of the Roads Policing team, said: “Despite the best efforts of emergency service colleagues, the 17-year-old motorcycle rider very sadly died. Our thoughts are very much with his family, friends and loved ones at this extremely difficult time.
“We are carrying out enquiries as we seek to establish the full circumstances of this collision, and I would urge any witnesses to please contact us.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone who was travelling in the vicinity and may have captured relevant dashcam footage.”
