Appeal for information following burglary at home in Bournemouth
Officers investigating a burglary at a home in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Dorset Police received a report at around 8.20am on Saturday 19 September 2026 in relation to a burglary that had occurred at an address in Bicton Road in East Howe.
It was reported entry was gained to a residential property at around 2am that morning and the victim’s wallet and phone had been stolen.
The offender is described as white, around five feet eight inches tall and of slim build. He was wearing a black hooded top, black jogging bottoms and had a black face covering.
Officers also received reports of a man trying the handles of at least two further properties in the East Howe area during the early hours of Saturday 19 September 2026.
Police Constable Dominic Hyland, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are investigating this burglary and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area during the early hours of Saturday 19 September 2026 – or who has captured any relevant home CCTV, doorbell camera or dashcam footage – to please contact us.
“We also believe the further reports of a man attempting to gain access to properties could be linked and I would like to take this opportunity to urge residents in the East Howe and surrounding areas including Kinson, Wallisdown and Moordown, to please ensure they keep their properties secure at all times and report any suspicious activity to police.”
