Appeal following alleged assault in Bournemouth

Detectives investigating an alleged assault in the Winton area of the town are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward – with two people arrested.

The incident, in which a 14-year-old girl from Poole sustained serious facial injuries, happened at approximately 7pm on Friday 17 June 2022 in Wimborne Road near to Sprinkles.

Subsequently, a 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl, both from Bournemouth, were arrested on suspicion of assault and released on bail pending further enquires.

Detective Constable Jordan Curtis, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am sure that a number of people would have been in the area at the time and am appealing for any witnesses to what exactly happened to please come forward.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage as this might assist my investigation.”
