Arrest following reported assault in Bridport
A man has been arrested following a reported assault in Bridport.
It was reported that at around 6pm on Wednesday 11 March 2026 a man entered a shop in South Street and was aggressive towards a female member of staff.
It was further reported he made threats towards the woman before pushing her.
No injuries were sustained.
Following an image appeal and enquiries by officers, a local man aged in his 50s was arrested in connection with the incident. He has been issued with a conditional caution and the victim has been updated.
