Man wanted in connection with Bournemouth death is located
A man wanted in connection with the death of a woman in Bournemouth has been located.
56-year-old Richard Sean Ball was wanted in connection with an ongoing investigation into the circumstances of the death of a 51-year-old Bournemouth woman.
Following enquiries and searches by officers, he has now been located and arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody at this time.
Dorset Police received a report at 2.25am on Wednesday 1 July 2026 that the body of a woman had been found at an address in Paddington Grove.
Officers attended alongside the ambulance service and very sadly the woman was confirmed dead at the scene. Her next of kin are continuing to be updated by officers in relation to developments in the investigation.
A cordon remains in place at the scene while enquiries are carried out to establish the full circumstances of the death, which is currently being treated as suspicious.
Officers also arrested a woman aged in her 30s of Bournemouth on suspicion of assisting an offender. She was subsequently released under investigation as enquiries continue.
The arrests have been made to enable us to gather as much information as possible about circumstances surrounding this death, and in order to provide legal protection for the individuals.
