Update – arrest in connection with reported serious assault in Bournemouth

A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into an incident where a man reportedly sustained stab wounds in Bournemouth.

Dorset Police received a report that a man had sustained stab wounds sometime between 5.35am and 5.45am on Sunday 4 September 2022 in Lorne Park Road, near to the junction with Old Christchurch Road.

The victim, a man aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

Following enquiries by Bournemouth CID, a 24-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been released on police bail as the investigation continues.
