Appeal for witnesses following public order incident in Bournemouth

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a public order incident in Bournemouth.

At around 11.25pm on Wednesday 20 August 2025 a man was sitting in his stationary car at the Woodbury Roundabout traffic lights when he was approached by two men wearing balaclavas and carrying knives.

It was reported the men began swinging their knives at the vehicle, causing damage to it.

The victim was able to drive away and sustained no injuries.
Detective Sergeant Karen Penn, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident, which must have been very frightening for the victim.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information that could assist our investigation, to please come forward if you haven’t done so already.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area on the evening of Wednesday 20 August 2025, as well as anyone who was driving in the vicinity and may have captured relevant dashcam footage.”
