Witness appeal following suspicious vehicle fire in Bournemouth

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a suspicious vehicle fire in Bournemouth.

At around 10.30pm on Thursday 27 July 2023 it was reported that a white van was on fire in Hood Crescent.

It is believed the fire was started deliberately and witnesses reported seeing two people running from the area after the incident. They are described as male, aged between 16 and 30 years old, of slender build and wearing all dark clothing with the hoods up.

Police Constable Dan Patrascu, of Bournemouth police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area to please come forward.

“Also, I would like to hear from any residents in the wider area who may have captured anything of relevance on home CCTV that may assist my investigation.”
