Officers are issuing a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify following an assault and attempted theft at a shop in Corfe Mullen.

A member of staff intervened, but was pushed into a metal door. They sustained minor injuries that did not require medical treatment.

Police Constable Jared Braid, of East Dorset police, said: “We have been continuing to make efforts to identify the man involved, but this has so far been unsuccessful.

“I am now issuing an image of a man I would like to identify and would ask anyone who recognises him to please come forward.”
