Witness appeal following burglary in Poole

Officers investigating a burglary in Poole where an electric bicycle was stolen are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At approximately 12.05am on Friday 21 October 2022 the occupants of an address in Compton Avenue heard a noise outside and saw a man – dressed in black – in the garden.

It was reported that a garage window was broken into and a Forme Peak Trail 1 ELS Hybrid bike was stolen.

The offender is described as white, aged under 30 years old, clean shaven and of heavy set with short hair.

Police Constable Julian Forde, of Poole police, said: “I would urge anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity around the relevant time to please come forward.

“I am also appealing to residents with CCTV or motorists who were travelling in the area with a dashcam to please check your footage for anything to assist my investigation.

“Finally, if you have seen for sale or been offered a bike matching the one described in unusual circumstances, please contact Dorset Police.”
