Witness and dashcam appeal following fail-to-stop collision in Poole

Officers investigating a fail-to-stop collision in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at 5.17pm on Tuesday 17 February 2026 of a collision involving a car and a red Honda motorbike on the A3049 Canford Way.

It is reported that the driver of the car left the scene.

The motorbike rider – a local man aged in his 30s – was taken to hospital for treatment to a serious injury.

Police Sergeant Chris Brolan, of Poole police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this collision and I am really keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened.

“Also, I would like to hear from any motorists who were travelling in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
