Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward following a fatal road traffic collision near Dorchester.

Dorset Police received a report at 11.57am on Sunday 14 June 2026 of a collision involving a Suzuki motorbike and a silver Vauxhall Zafira car on the A353 at Poxwell.

Emergency services attended and very sadly the motorcyclist – a local 22-year-old man – was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.

Two occupants of the Vauxhall Zafira were taken to hospital with injuries believed to be serious at this time.

Road closures have been put in place to allow the emergency services to respond and for an examination of the scene to be conducted.

“I would urge any witnesses or anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage to please contact us.
