Witness and dashcam appeal following serious injury collision in Bridport

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward following a serious injury road traffic collision in Bridport.

At around 5.25pm on Wednesday 18 March 2026 a collision occurred on the B3157 Burton Road, near to the Crown Roundabout, involving a yellow Skoda Fabia and a bicycle.

The cyclist, a man aged in his 50s, sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police Constable James Hazell, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are continuing to investigate the full circumstances of this collision and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us.

“I would also ask that any motorists with dashcam who were travelling in the vicinity around the time of the collision please check their footage for anything that might assist our enquiries.”
