CCTV appeal following knife-related public order incident in Bournemouth

Officers investigating an incident where the victim was threatened by another man carrying a knife are issuing CCTV images of a man they would like to identify.

At around 3.20pm on Friday 9 January 2026 the victim was in the area of Bath Road when he was threatened by a man with what appeared to be a Stanley knife.

The victim got into his car and drove off, with the suspect believed to have made off in the direction of Gervis Road.

Police Constable Alex Ayre, of Bournemouth police, said: “We have been continuing to investigate this incident and I am now in a position to issue CCTV images of a man we would like to identify as part of our enquiries.

“I appreciate the images are not the best quality, but I would urge anyone with information regarding his identity to please contact us.”
