Appeal for information following theft of moped in Sturminster Newton

Officers are investigating the theft of a moped in Sturminster Newton and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Between around 3am and 5am on Thursday 26 February 2026 a blue Sym Orbit moped scooter with yellow decals was stolen from Stour View Close.

Police Constable Ed Lewis, of the Sturminster Newton Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries to identify anyone involved in this theft and hopefully reunite the victim with their moped. I am keen to hear from witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our investigation.

“I would also urge residents in the area of Stour View Close, Bath Road, Honeymead Lane and Rabin Hill to please review any home CCTV or doorbell camera footage from the early hours of Thursday 26 February to see if they have captured anything of relevance.”
