Officers are issuing an image of a woman they would like to identify as they investigate thefts from gardens in Poole.

Dorset Police received a report at 11.10pm on Thursday 30 October 2025 of two women stealing items from gardens in the Canford Heath area, including solar powered lights and Halloween decorations.

The women were reportedly seen getting into a dark-coloured Ford Focus and a male victim went to challenge them. They then drove off, with the wing mirror of the vehicle colliding with the victim as it drove past. He did not sustain any serious injuries.

Sergeant Mark Rice, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into these thefts and have obtained an image of a woman we would like to speak to as part of our investigation.

“I appreciate the image is not the best quality, but I would urge anyone with information relating to her identity to please contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250160937. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online using its website or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
