CCTV appeal following assault in Christchurch

Officers investigating an assault in a pub in Christchurch are issuing an image of a man they would like to identify.

At around 10.55pm on Saturday 17 May 2025, two men were involved in a fight at The Thomas Tripp in Wick Lane.

One of the men pushed the other one, causing him to knock into a woman aged in her 50s.

The woman sustained facial injuries and attended hospital for treatment. It was later found that she had nerve damage in her eye as a result of the incident.

Police Constable Jack McColl, of Dorset Police, said: “This incident has had a lasting impact on the victim and caused significant injuries.

“I am now issuing an image of a man I would like to identify and would urge anyone who recognises him to please come forward.”
