Appeal for witnesses following break-in to outbuilding in North Dorset

Officers investigating a break-in to an outbuilding in North Dorset are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Between around 3am and 3.15am on Friday 9 February 2024, approximately two or three men – described as aged around 30 years old – gained entry to an outbuilding of a property in the Portman Road area of Pimperne.

The offenders were disturbed by the occupants and left the scene in a white SUV.

A number of DeWalt power tools were stolen, including hammer drills and a nail gun.

Police Constable Christopher Windows, of Dorset Police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time to please get in touch.

“Also, I would ask residents to please check whether they have captured anything of relevance on either home CCTV or dashcam footage to help identify the suspects.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55240020687. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
