Renewed appeal following collision in Bournemouth
Officers investigating a serious injury collision in Bournemouth are renewing their appeal and would like to hear from a van driver who stopped at the scene.
Dorset Police received a report at 7.44am on Thursday 12 January 2023 of a collision involving a blue Vauxhall Astra and a pedestrian in Florence Road, at the junction with Grantley Road.
The pedestrian – a local man aged in his 60s – was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
The driver of the Vauxhall was uninjured.
Police Constable Gavin Newbury, of the traffic unit, said: “We are continuing to conduct enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the collision and I would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please get in touch.
“I would like to appeal directly to a male van driver who stopped to help the victim before officers arrived to please contact Dorset Police as you may have important information to help my investigation.”
