Witness appeal following criminal damage on Portland

Officers investigating an incident of criminal damage to a shop window on Portland are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

It was reported that between 4pm on Monday 12 December and 8am on Tuesday 13 December 2022 the window of Easton Park Sweets & Treats in Easton Square was smashed.

Police Constable Mike Golder, of Weymouth and Portland police, said: “This incident has caused considerable inconvenience to the business involved, as well as financial implications.

“We are carrying out enquiries into this matter and I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened, or who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area on the relevant night, to please contact us.

“I would also ask residents in the vicinity to check any home CCTV systems and request that any drivers who were in the area please review their dashcam footage for anything of relevance.”
