Witness appeal following fail-to-stop collision in Bournemouth

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward following a fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Bournemouth.

Dorset Police received a report at 9.20am on Wednesday 6 November 2024 of a two-vehicle collision involving a white Honda Accord and another vehicle at the County Gates Roundabout in Branksome.

The occupant of the Honda – a man aged in his 80s – attended hospital for treatment to injuries to his legs and arms.

It was reported that the other vehicle involved failed to stop at the scene.

Police Constable Jade Kerslake, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this collision and I am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.

“I would also urge anyone with dashcam who was driving in the vicinity during the morning of Wednesday 6 November 2024, as well as any local residents or businesses with home CCTV systems or doorbell cameras, to please check any footage for anything that might assist our enquiries.

“Finally, I would like to appeal directly to the motorist involved in this collision to do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
